Why is preference given to MATURE AND LGBTQ STUDENTS?

• Creating a supportive space for LGBTQ+ students is crucial in today’s political climate.
• Mature students may also appreciate additional support as they adjust to student life.
• While preference is given to LGBTQ+ & mature students, being part of one of these groups doesn’t guarantee a spot in our study group.

• If there’s a waiting list and you live in a central location, please consider hosting an additional study group.  

NEXT STEPS

• On September 16, students who’ve been accepted into the study group will be contacted.
• Students who don’t receive a spot will also be contacted with the name(s) of any students who may be offering additional study groups.
• Students offered a spot will receive a one-month trial to determine if this is a good fit on both sides.

• Members are expected to attend every meeting.
 • If you break something at my home, you must replace it.

• A disagreement should turn into a fascinating discussion, not a fight.
• Hate speech, aggression/bossiness, sexual harassment, bullying, disrespect, disruptive behaviour, and drama will not be tolerated.
• Please don’t take yourself too seriously.
• There will be a social component after each study session. Please be mindful that we’re here to study—not socialize.
• Please contact me if you have a notice for the group’s webpage. All notices must be relevant to our education.
• I keep my home chilly all year round. Please bring a light sweater.
• Frequently being late or missing meetings, or not adhering to these guidelines could end your membership.
• As the host of this study group, I reserve the right to terminate any membership without prejudice.

• ORGANIZERS
  This role will be shared by two members. You or your co-organizer will reach out to members before each meeting to coordinate the potluck, remind members about food allergies, and set an agenda of topics for each meeting. You’ll also take attendance, schedule and supervise the Note Editors, and liaise with professors if questions can’t be answered by the group. You'll also record any classes that Ralph misses due to illness.
• NOTE EDITORS
  All other members will take turns reviewing the notes for errors. The most common errors will likely involve misspelled technical terms resulting from AI transcription.
