ICEBREAKER – 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM
After guests have arrived and settled in, they’ll be placed in breakout groups and share insights from their Abundance Workbook. Please return to the Main Centre by 5:30pm for Introductions/Dinner.

INTRODUCTIONS – Shift B – 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM | Shift A – 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Each guest will briefly share their name, 3 greatest accomplishments, where they’re from, and 1 or 2 goal(s).

ORIENTATION – 7:30 PM to 8:00 PM
Ralph will open with a land acknowledgement, discuss retreat etiquette, tips for choosing a meaningful goal, and how generosity and gratitude attract abundance.

LIMITING BELIEFS – 8:00 PM to 9:30 PM
Ralph will guide participants through an exercise to identify beliefs that may be blocking their goals, write a short Affirmation Statement to counter those beliefs, and participate in a meditation to internalize this new mindset.

SATURDAY

DAILY GRATITUDE AND NEW BELIEFS – 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM
For the first 20 minutes, select participants will express gratitude for an insight they gained from the previous day. For the next 20 minutes, all participants will silently reflect on the blessings identified in their Abundance Workbook and give thanks for each. This exercise ends with a 20-minute silent meditation using the Affirmation Statement (from Friday) as a mantra.

GROWTH FROM FAILURE – 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM
Participants will be guided through an exercise that examines their relationship with failure and how it influences their goals. Small-group discussions help guests explore lessons learned and ways to move forward.

PEER INSIGHTS – 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM
Each participant will receive a free deck of tarot cards with meanings written on each card. Guests will then learn a simple technique and guidelines for using these cards. From there, guests will use the cards to offer insights and guidance related to one another’s goals.

SUNDAY

SWOT ANALYSIS – 3:00 PM to 5:30 PM
Liz will guide participants through a workbook exercise that uses the strategic SWOT framework to examine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to their goal. This exercise helps clarify practical next steps.

INNER ORACLE – 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM
During a guided group hypnosis, participants will meet their “Higher Self” and “Inner Saboteur” to seek insights related to their goal. After this profound experience, guests will take notes in their Workbook and participate in a group discussion.

MONDAY

ACTIVATE YOUR GOAL – 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM
The retreat concludes with gratitude, meditation, and an energy alignment. Participants will define success on their own terms, develop a clear strategy for moving forward, and create a Tarot Vision Board. This workshop ends with a visualization exercise, followed by an optional intention-setting ceremony that includes white magic, Hindu prayer, sound healing, and Reiki blessings.

At the time of booking, all deposits are paid to Sugar Ridge Retreat Centre by e-transfer or credit card.

This fee covers food, staffing, marketing, meeting space rental, charitable donations, giveaways (tarot cards, aventurine bracelets, red agate ring, and workbooks), and accommodations for overnight guests.

13% HST will be applied to your deposit.

Deposits are refundable only if you cancel at least two months in advance. After that point, all bookings are final. If you need to cancel after this period, you may sell your spot to recoup your costs. Please ask replacement guest to contact Ralph so he can alter your intake questions.

PROGRAM FEE

The Program Fee supports the many hours of planning involved in organizing this experience. It also covers honorariums for guest facilitators and reimburses Ralph for out-of-pocket retreat expenses, such as the sound system and 30 additional chairs that were purchased.

Two weeks before the retreat, you’ll be asked to send this fee via PayPal to ralph@psychicralph.com. If you don’t have a PayPal account, cash can be brought to the retreat and paid upon arrival.

Sliding Scale Guidelines

The lower end of the sliding scale is intended for those receiving EI, ODSP or Ontario Works. This also applies to seniors, single parents and students who are experiencing financial hardship.

The middle range is appropriate for guests with stable employment and moderate disposable income.

The higher end helps subsidize accessibility for others and is intended for guests with higher incomes or greater financial flexibility.

Please make every effort to connect with different people so everyone feels welcome and included.
In the back of this Workbook are 4 nametag stickers. Please wear a nametag every day with your name and pronouns. During the Lost Parts Party (on Sunday night), please add your “lost part character” to your nametag.
During Barebones Karaoke (later tonight and tomorrow night), please avoid using Sugar Ridge’s Wi-Fi so we have enough bandwidth to download backing tracks.
At Barebones Karaoke, please perform only one song per night, and ensure your selection is no longer than three minutes.
Page 2 lists Breakout Facilitators. After selected workshops, you’ll join a discussion group (max 7 participants). Please choose a different facilitator each time to broaden your experience. If you have limited mobility, please choose from the greyed area on page 2.
Participation is voluntary. If you’re not interested in a particular workshop or activity, feel free to sit it out
During this retreat, we’ll allot a set amount of time for each exercise. If you need extra time, please move at your own pace and follow the Workbook instructions to catch up when you’re ready.
Being late can be disruptive. Please arrive on time for workshops, meals, and carpooling.
Always be kind and respectful to other guests, workshop facilitators, and the Sugar Ridge staff. Please respect each guest’s pronouns and avoid comments or behavior that could be considered discriminatory.
Please refrain from sharing political and religious views during the retreat, as these can be polarizing.
After each meal, please clear your table and bring your dishes to the appropriate bus cart (near the counter). Dispose of trash in proper bins.
During workshops, please give the facilitator your full attention and refrain from side conversations.
Please raise your hand to share your thoughts during workshops. Try not to monopolize discussions or interrupt others.
If you have an insight or advice for another guest, always ask permission before sharing, unless giving feedback is a part of a workshop.
If sharing a cabin, please try to be quiet while your roommates are sleeping.
This is a scent-free retreat. Please avoid wearing colognes, perfumes, or strong scents.
Alcohol consumption is only permitted in the Dining Hall after 10pm. Please do not drink excessively or drive while intoxicated.
Outside the Main Centre (at back corner) is a designated smoking/vaping area. Do not smoke elsewhere. Please dispose of cigarette butts in the appropriate bucket. Please consider using hand sanitizer and mouthwash after each cigarette (to lessen the smell).
Keep phones on silent mode during workshops.
If you’re feeling unwell, please wear a mask while around others.
During their downtime, feel free to engage the organizers in light conversation, but please be mindful that “talking shop” could wear them out. This includes sharing intense life situations, asking for advice, discussing workshops, or giving feedback on the retreat. 😊
On the final day of the retreat, guests will be invited to join a private FaceBook group. Please respect anyone who doesn’t wish to stay in touch.
Please don’t use this retreat as a networking opportunity for your cause, business, or service.
Before you leave, please strip your bed, place your sheets inside a pillow case and bring them to the Main Centre (in the nook between the two washrooms). Please leave the duvet and cover in your cabin.
At the end of the Activate Your Goal ceremony, please remove the card backing in this Workbook and return it to Ralph.
When using shared washrooms, please try to limit showers to a maximum of 5 minutes.
Please respect the confidentiality of workshop discussions. Never read another guest’s Workbook unless permission is given.
Please pay close attention to the GREY HIGHLIGHTED AREAS in the Itinerary (pages 3-4 of your Workbook) so you bring what’s needed to each workshop.

We can’t personally vouch for any hotels or motels, but the Kings Inn Midland is an affordable option that’s only 10 minutes away from Sugar Ridge Retreat Centre (see map).

Is this retreat wheelchair accessible?
..

Yes, two of Sugar Ridge’s cabins are wheelchair accessible. When you register, you’ll be asked about your accessiblity needs. Also, the Main Centre, Dining Hall, and washrooms are fully accessible. However, if attending with a wheelchair or walker, we cannot provide carpooling. Please consider a wheelchair taxi instead.

Do I need to attend every activity and workshop at the retreat?

No. Participation is voluntary—this is your retreat, so feel free to only take part in activities that resonate with you.

What if I end up in a cabin with someone I can’t get along with?
..

Sharing a cabin is best suited for guests who are comfortable living with others. If you tend to need more privacy or personal space, please consider one of our private options. If you find you aren’t meshing with one of your cabin mates, you’re welcome to discreetly ask another guest to switch cabins. Beyond that, all bookings are final.

If I carpool to Sugar Ridge with one guest, can I get a ride home with a different driver?

Please coordinate directly with the guests involved. If the person who drove you ends up without a full car, please ensure they’re still fairly compensated for the agreed-upon carpool cost.

I read that Sugar Ridge is a dog-friendly centre. Can I bring my dog to the Towards Abundance retreat?

No. Given the higher volume of guests and greater likelihood of allergies, plus our full itinerary, it would be best to leave your puppy at home. Sorry!
